Haven't written anything for a while... So as a random wonderful, fabulous, life-changing, beautiful, spiffingly fantastic fact i tell you



JESUS LOVES YOU!!

Well, basically what i wanted to tell you all about was my past week at New Wine. As a few of you will know, i had miss JB to go to New Wine (thousands of christians camping and going to seminars and kids groups etc. for those who don't know) this year coz they clashed. And as a few of you will know, i was very upset about this. I had had such an amazing time at JB the previous year, and i had gotten so close to God. I had even come away from JB 2004 thinking i was going back the next year...but then when i didn't i was so dissapointed. Infact, the week of JB 2005 i was devestated i wasn't there. Absolutely gutted. I just wanted to see so many people and again experience that fantastic encounter with God. But i was at home, and this reality made me cry so much. So consequently i went to New Wine a bit bitter, wishing i'd been to JB instead. The only thing that kept me waiting and hoping that something great would happen was the fact that i had been so many times, and it had been the foundations for my own faith, but also i felt it was my calling. God had closed all the doors that could take me to JB. This year it was about my work for Jesus, and what i could do for the children there (i worked in a children's group called Groundbreakers). I remember arriving first, and just hoping and praying everything would be alright. Yet from the moment i stepped into the 'shed' in which Groundbreakers would be held, i knew this was where i was suppposed to be. They gave a talk on how this week would be the beginning of many children's faith in Jesus Christ, children would ask him into their lives. They made a strong point saying that instead of fixing adults you should build up the foundations of the children.
So knowing i was supposed to be there comforted me, and answered the prayer that i had made the right decision. Then things started looking up, and began one of the most amazing weeks. What a lot of people don't realise, is how amazing children are. I was in a group of 15 6 yr olds, all fantastic in their own ways. They were ready to accept Jesus and live for him. They listened and worshiped him so enthusiastically. And it wasn't all a bit of fun. Children can say the most amazing things, explain complicated subjects so simply. One little girl in my group came out with a comment explaining the holy trinity. She said 'It's like scissors, sometimes thier together and sometimes their apart'. This is from a 6 yr old. Towards the end of the week the kids were encouraged to talk to jesus, invited him into their lives, and listen to him. They were given pictures and words, they felt the holy spirit moving inside them. One of the boys in my group got a picture of a heart and felt that God was saying 'I love you' and another boy got the picture of a sheep and God telling him to be a shepherd. How amazing is that? And i felt so priveledged to be there. Just the thought that i was helping, and being involved, in the beginning of others faiths in christ. I used to go to New Wine as a child, and i know that i wouldn't be the person i am now without it. It helped me through everything, and kept God close and let me feel his presence from such a young age. I saw jesus moving in these children, and i felt his amazing presence all the time coz i was surrounded my all these amazing people. What i did miss about JB was the fantastic worship, but God even fixed that. On the second to last day we had the most amazing worship session ever. Definately up to JB standard.
So by the end of the week, i didn't wish i had gone to JB at all, and didn't want to leave New Wine. I didn't want to say goodbye to all these people, and amazing children. This week i felt like God had used me, and felt like i had made some sort of difference in God's children. Something i'd wanted to do for so long. To feel like i had made a difference. But anyway, i'm rambling. I just thought i had to tell you all, that God exceeds you expectations more than you can ever imagine. You have no idea what God has got instore for you, and at the time it may seem rediculous or really unfair, but you have no idea what God is planning. And i can assure you, he'll be planning amazing things. This week i saw that. He'll show you where to go, what he wants you to do because he's in control. This week i was part of God's work, and consequently my passion for Jesus is like a fire, burning up inside me getting stronger and stronger. Now i want to get out in the world, and continue to do God's work, being radically different for Jesus. Cos he died for me. He saved me. I have to share that.
Finally, Jesus is my superhero...he saved me, and i WILL live for him. So don't be scared, coz Jesus is there to catch you when you fall.

I think this is a beautiful song. It says so much about everything Jesus has done for us, how he transformed our lives. He's amazing, and this song just says so. Coz his ways are so beautiful, beautiful to us.

Recently i've been putting a lot of the memory verses from bible study on here, and today that isn't going to stop. Here's one of the more recent ones:

'I can do everything through him who gives me strength.' Phillipians 4:13

That's fab isn't it?! I CAN, YOU CAN do ANYTHING through CHRIST! Coz he will gove YOU STRENGTH! If you need a that little bit more strength to help you through something, or go somewhere, God will give you that extra boost if you ask. If you ask, anything is possible. So why be worried? Why get stressed? Why hide among the people around you? There's no need. Yes the world is scary. Yes we are not perfect. And yes life's not always great. But if you've got God on your side, what have you got to lose? Absolutely nothing. You have EVERYTHING. God will give you STRENGTH so you can do EVERYTHING you were born to do. So don't be affraid, speak out about God. Coz he will give you the strength to persist in this messed up world. He will give you the strength to be you're true self, and to live for Jesus. All you need to do is ask.

Wooo! How fab is that??!! Nothing is impossible with Jesus Christ! I certainly find that a comfort!

Just a little bit of advice from the old bible. TRUST in the Lord. He isn't going to let you fall. He knows exactly what's best for you, and if you let him have total control then it is inevitable you'll be fine. Because 'he will make your path straight'! A lot of people find it hard not to be in control, it seems quite scary. But if you let God be in control then you're a lot less likely to make those mistakes you make every so often. Coz he's looking after you, and leading you through you're life!

I'm going a tad crazy today with all these entries but hey. I just had to say...IT'S THE GREATEST DAY TOMORROW! heehee wooo! Ok i'm a little crazy, more excited about Helen's birthday than she is but hey!! Although it's no the only reason tomorrow is the greatest day *does the actions*...

Usually on this here livejournal you'll find songs and bible verses, as this is the purpose of this diary. But today i've decided i'll have a bit of a change to tell all you people who've found this how great you are (not for finding this but for being you). You're all amazing, absolutely amazing. All so individual and beautiful. You're sooo special to me, you're friends, family and of course Jesus. To my friends, i feel so lucky that i've found you. You make the world so much brighter and you're so great. You're here when it seems no one else is, help me through thick and thin and help me further my faith by generally being so Jesus-y. Thanks so much! :D Jesus loves you so much. He cares and loves you like no other, and he'd hae died for you even if you were the only christian on the whole earth, and every single bit of pain would have bee worth it. Coz he thinks you're worth it! Imagine that, you, just you, are worth dying for so that you could gain.

Footprints
One night a man had a dream.
